Diner Rush Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Diner Rush: Idle Food Tycoon is a mobile game by StarFun Games. It saves your progress on your device and shows ads, which are served by advertising partners that collect some device data. This policy explains what is collected, by whom, and the choices you have.
StarFun Games ("we", "us"; also written Starfun Games) is an indie game studio in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This policy covers Diner Rush for Android (package com.starfungames.dinerrush) until we update it. Our website has its own Privacy Notice (https://starfungames.com/en/privacy).
1. What the game saves on your device
To save your game, Diner Rush keeps a small amount of game data in its private app storage on your device:
- Progress: your cash, the restaurants you own, the stations, tables, staff and upgrades you have bought in each one, cash left on the floor, and when you last played (to work out earnings while you were away).
- Settings: sound, music, vibration and reduced motion, and how far you are through the tutorial.
This data does not identify you and is not sent to us or to anyone else. To delete it, uninstall the game, or open Android Settings > Apps > Diner Rush > Storage and tap Clear storage (menu names vary by device). Because we never receive this data, we cannot restore lost progress.
2. Device backups
If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the game's saved data in your device backup to your Google account and restore it on a new device. Google handles these backups under your Google account settings, and we cannot see them. You can turn backup off in Android Settings.
3. What the game does not do
- No accounts, sign-in, or contact details.
- No analytics, tracking, or crash reporting tools of our own (the ad partners below collect their own data).
- No notifications.
- No access to your location, contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone.
- No chat, multiplayer, or content shared with other players.
You can play without an internet connection; ads simply do not load then. Apart from the ad partners described below, the game does not send information about you over the internet.
4. Android permissions
- Control vibration: for vibration feedback, which you can turn off in Settings.
- Network access (full network access, view network connections): to load ads.
- Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) and Android ad services: used by our ad partners to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads (names vary by device).
- Other permissions added by Android libraries the ad partners use, such as keeping the device awake briefly to send ad measurements.
5. Ads, Google Play and Unity
Ads (Unity LevelPlay, ironSource Ads, Unity Ads)
Diner Rush shows ads through Unity LevelPlay, an ad mediation service from Unity Technologies, with the ironSource Ads and Unity Ads networks (both part of Unity). Most ads are optional videos you choose to watch for a reward, such as doubling your cash for a while. The game may also show a full-screen ad when you finish a restaurant, at most once every few minutes.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, these partners collect and process, on their own servers: device and advertising identifiers (including the Android advertising ID); approximate location derived from your IP address; your interactions with ads (for example views and taps); and technical diagnostics such as device model, operating system and app version. They may share this data with advertisers and their own partners as described in their policies. We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you; we see only totals such as the number of ads shown and the revenue they earned.
The game tells the partners that you have not agreed to ads that use your personal data for targeting, so they show generic ads, unless you turn on Personalised ads in the game's Settings. You can turn it off again at any time, reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings, and limit personalised ads within some ads using their privacy icon. Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy, which covers Unity Ads and Unity LevelPlay, is at https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
Google Play
You download and update Diner Rush through Google Play, which Google handles under its own Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). If you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google may give us crash reports and statistics about the game's stability and performance in the Google Play Console, such as device model, Android version, and crash details. These reports do not include your name or contact details, and we use them only to fix bugs and improve the game.
Unity
Diner Rush is built with the Unity game engine from Unity Technologies. Apart from the ads described above, Unity Analytics, Unity crash and performance reporting, and Unity hardware statistics are switched off, and the game uses no other Unity online service.
No one else
Apart from the ad partners and Google described above, we do not sell, rent, or share data from the game with anyone.
6. Children
Diner Rush is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age that applies in your country), and we tell our ad partners that the game is not child-directed. The game has no chat or social features. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your choices and rights
Your game data stays on your device, so you control it: clear the app's storage or uninstall the game to delete it. We hold no game data about you to access, correct, or delete. For data the ad partners hold, use the choices above or contact Unity through its privacy policy; you can also reset your advertising ID so it is no longer linked to past ad activity.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the GDPR. If you have a question or request, email us. We will respond within 30 days where required by law, or within a reasonable time otherwise. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply, as described in our website's Privacy Notice.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of Diner Rush adds anything else that collects or shares data, such as purchases, analytics or accounts, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety section for Diner Rush before that version is released. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
9. Contact
StarFun Games, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Email hello@starfungames.com with the subject line "Diner Rush privacy".
This version of the policy is effective from October 30, 2026.
